PRINCIPAL'S SPEECH

Mr. Charles Odindo

May I take this opportunity to welcome you to St. Pauls' Rongo Mixed Day Secondary School, the year 2025 , that comes hot on the heels of the official opening of the school by the head of state, H.E Dr. William Samoie Ruto on 5th May, 2025.

Let me sincerely thank the almighty God for the far He has brought us as we chat a way forward for the prosperity of the young generation whose future is entrusted under our sole care. With God's guidance, may we all deliberate on issues that will steer them to greater heights in matters of discipline and academic excellence.

Currently, the school has a total population of 705 students with 315 boys and 390 girls. Once again, I would like to salute those parents who have chosen to bring their sons and daughters to this school with promising future and unlimited potential and for entrusting us with the role of being the good shepherds in mentoring them into their academic destinies.

Currently, the school has eight (8) TSC teachers and nineteen (19) teachers employed by the school B.O.M and nine (9) student teachers seconded to us by the various universities for the term. According to the school Curriculum Based Establishment, (C.B.E) the school is supposed to have 34 teachers, however, only eight teachers have been posted so far by the employer leaving a shortfall/deficit in staffing of 26 teachers.

Allow me to sincerely thank the president of the Republic of Kenya, H.E Dr. William Samoie Ruto who promised to help the school get ten more TSC employed teachers. I am happy to report that the process of their recruitment is currently at an advanced stage. I am equally glad to inform you that the president also promised to help the school acquire a school bus.

DEPUTY PRINCIPAL'S SPEECH

Mr. Okoth Eston Aloe

Let me take this opportunity to welcome you to St Paul rongo.

Whereas our youthfulness is not in doubt, as a school, we have a single-minded desire to give the students a firm foundation of knowledge, real-life-skills and experiences coupled with the ability to engage as independent, lifelong learners.

It is instructive to note that, for our stated desires, aims and objectives to blossom into beautiful realities, discipline must take center stage.

Even though ours is a largely disciplined students' population, the school's location in an urban setting comes replete with its own unique challenges. It is these hindrances that concerted efforts by both teachers and parents as chief stakeholders must strive to overcome.

With God's grace and our unity of purpose, we shall prevail.

Director of Studies Michael Vincent Odvor Odhlambo

DIRECTOR OF STUDIES SPEECH

Mr. Michael Vincent Odvor Odhlambo

As a department, we appreciate the support that we have enjoyed from both the school management and other stakeholders' parents inclusive and remain determined to realize our dream as captured in our new targets for the year 2025 KCSE examinations.

We are also alive to the new demands that the rollout of the Competency Based Education (CBE) is to put on us as an institution and appeal beforehand to our development partners, never to hold back investing in the education of our children.
